Archdruid Taron is the halfling master of The Outpost. Taron brought order to the extraplanar madness that surrounded the Rift through relentless assaults against the outsiders who roamed the wilderness in the wake of the battle between Orcus and Mammon. Taron is a powerful member of the Circle of Dreams and is respected by the shamans to the North. This respect means that Taron has a personal following of goblinoid advisors to keep Taron informed about affairs to the North.
Taron is approximately 3'2" tall and weighs 43 lbs. He is known for wearing a crown of antlers which add another 8" to his height. Taron tends to wear pelts of grey and brown, bears the staff Gymulsten, and is famous for being humorless.
Elector Tysfora Gladestrider is popular among Wood Elves in the Empire, but also has a sizable following among soldiers who signed up to battle the threats from the lower planes. The daughter of the Empire's hero Tysdren Gladestrider, Tysfora inherited many of her father's talents for archery and bureaucracy. Ostensibly, Tysfora is the Elector with jurisdiction over The Outpost, but she has not visited in six years. Tysfora's irregulars, however, are numerous in The Outpost and they regularly toast to her good health.
Tysfora is approximately 5'11" tall and weighs 100 lbs. She is known for wearing a green cloak with a white trim, the colors of the Gladestriders, as well as for her ear length auburn hair that barely covers the tips of her pointed ears. Tysfora is well-regarded as an Elector of the armies and the Wood Elves, but tends to be cold toward other populations within The Empire. She is also known for her open contempt for the goblinoid tribes.
Dyrakus is a Tiefling stonemason at the Outpost. He is a skilled sculptor and likes to work with extraplanar materials. Dyrakus is missing his left eye and left horn from a Tanar'ri assault four years ago. While his work product has never suffered, Dyrakus does not show the same passion for artistry he did before the incursion. When the walls of The Outpost are built with stone rather than the all-too-common wood and dirt stopgap measures, Dyrakus is usually a contractor involved in the project.
Dyrakus has a deep red hue to his leathery skin, stands 6'5" tall and weighs 260 lbs. He is missing the left black horn from his head and bears a brutal scar across his left eye socket. More often than not he keeps a brown leather patch over his empty eye. Dyrakus is known for wearing sturdy and unfashionable clothing that marks him as a laborer. He usually has a jovial demeanor, unless the Blood War, politics, or his personal business is being discussed
Simon Kendarr is a human scout responsible for the patrols around The Outpost. Simon is a boisterous drunk beloved by the Primes for his grim sense of humor. Simon is a commoner by birth who delights in pointing out the absurdity of aristocratic feudalism. Closer to the Capital, Simon would likely be hanged for his impudence. Here on the frontier, Simon's popularity keeps his neck well-balanced on his shoulders. Simon's patrols are relatively experienced troops at The Outpost, but they are hardly grizzled veterans. Simon teaches them that running away and getting reinforcements is more glorious than dying without warning anybody about a threat.
Simon Kendarr has a deep bronze to his skin, including his balding head. He stands 5'8" tall and weighs 135 lbs. Simon's piercing green eyes and aquiline nose help him stand out, but his thick mustache is emulated by more than one scout at The Outpost. Simon is known for wearing green and brown leathers and a remarkably ugly hat that Simon says helps him hide in the underbrush.
Gliberus is a quasit. As a demon in residence at The Outpost, Gliberus is almost universally reviled and ostracized. Gliberus delights in the suffering and turmoil of others. However, Gliberus is smart enough to ensure that his ongoing presence benefits Archdruid Taron's mission. Gliberus has provided information about Abyssal intruders on more than one occasion, which he has publicly stated is merely self-interest. Gliberus serves Graz'zt and is more than happy to bring about the downfall of any demons on the Prime who serve other demon lords. As a result, the other Primes tolerate Gliberus as a demon in residence. The Primes generally shun those who interact with Gliberus, but that does not stop demonic pilgrims from coming to the Outpost in search of Abyssal glory.
Gliberus is only 18" tall and weighs 8 lbs. There are blue overtones to Gliberus' skin which shine under direct light. Gliberus tends not to wear clothing.
Lutana is a ghaele cleric of the Metropolis. Lutana's ferverence is unusual in the frontier, where most Primes take an increasingly cavalier attitude toward religion and faith in general. Lutana aggressively preaches the tenets of the Metropolis at The Outpost and wins no friends as a result. Lutana is, however, quite popular for the donations she receives from other members of her church in The Empire. The reconstruction of The Outpost is viewed as a holy mission by the Church of the Metropolis and donations are plentiful. Unfortunately for Lutana, most members of the church would rather send supplies than volunteer to assist with reconstruction. Lutana shares her bounty with worthies at The Outpost, but the definition of who is and who is not worthy tends to evolve over time.
When in an humanoid form, Lutana stands 6'0" tall and appears to weigh 165 lbs. She wears a tan robe when in and around her Church, which is meager by almost any standard. Outside the palisade, Lutana wears a beautiful silver set of full plate with inset rubies. The full plate is inscribed with iconography from the Church of the Metropolis and polished to a mirror finish. Lutana's blonde hair falls to the base of her neck and her brown eyes contrast with her somewhat pale skin.
Myron Ironhand is a mountain dwarf sworn to the service of the Archdevil Dispater. He is obsessed with oaths and the fulfillment of oaths and is the closest The Outpost has to a lawyer. While his affiliation to the lower planes means Myron has difficulty making social relationships with others at The Outpost, he has sworn to preserve the neutrality of the dilapidated fortification for the next 1,000 years. As he swore the oath eight years ago, he presents himself as having 992 years of service remaining. There are some who begrudgingly trust the mountain dwarf, especially given his willingness to serve in battle when called upon by Archdruid Taron's provisional government.
Myron's left hand does appear to be metallic and somewhat magnetic. His eyes glisten with the same sheen. He tends to wear light black leathers which contrast with his relatively pallid skin. A well read dwarf, Myron is rarely found without a libram or tome chained to his belt. His closely cropped black hair is juxtaposed to his unkempt and bushy beard.
Brustok is a bugbear warrior and the last scion of the air-aligned Par'tok clan. When Mammon's wyrms assaulted the Greenskins, the Park'tok clan was one of many devastated by the assault. Brustok was left for dead in the freezing acid snow, but managed to survive when a dying red dragon collapsed on top of his position. Brustok was rescued a week later by Archdruid Taron's forces and nursed back to health. Ever since, Brustok has been an emissary between The Outpost and the various Greenskin clans.
Brustok is 7'0" tall and weighs 360 lbs. He wears capes of bear skin, incorporating their skulls into the helm and mantle. Even in the summer heats, Brustok wears his bear skins. He is never seen without his battleaxe. Brustok keeps his red hair pulled back and his beard short shaven.
Yuson is a drow warrior who stayed with the Outpost after a multiplanar wake. Yuson is missing his hand as a mark of drow justice. The drow is still deadly with a rapier and is tasked by Simon Kendarr with the nighttime administration of the guards and scounts at the Outpost.
Yuson is 6'2" and weighs 155 lbs. He wears black leathers which are conspicuously devoid of spider or web motifs. Oddly, his white hair hangs loose during formal events but is braided down his back during work in the field.
