Characters

So for all those interested in the Angels of Death Campaign, this will be where the characters are going. If you have your own character sheet method feel free to post it. I will post again with an example for those who need it.

For this campaign I am going with the beginning that you have already been on a few missions with one another and have gotten a feel for each other, but are still mysterious to one another in some regards. You were all quickly put into the Deathwatch, and assigned your new Kill-Team, which scored excellently in the Cohesion Training Mission. For that you will all receive a bonus 500xp and a Signature Wargear for free to begin the campaign. So that's 1500XP starting and a Sig Wargear.

Feel free to ask questions inside the "Character ideas" thread rather than placing them here. I'd like for this to be a place strictly for your character sheets.

Spoiler: Highlight to view
Description:
Height: 7'7" unarmored
Eyes: Ice blue, almost white.
Hair: A thick mane of Red, randomly braided with leather and fangs of various beasts.
Fulrik actually prefers to be unarmored when not in battle. He relishes the feel of air against his skin, especially cold air and detests the odd staleness of Starships and Space Stations. He intentionally keeps his quarters much colder than others, and has lined his sleeping area with the furs of great beasts he brought with him from his hunts on Fenris. Like his namesake - Long Fang - Fulrik's canines have grown long and sharp, giving his already bestial look an even more imposing presence. Unlike most Long Fangs, however, Fulrik's hair has not turned coarse and grey. In fact, it is more vibrant than his younger days. Red, almost like a rose with a hint of orange fire, Fulrik keeps a long mane of hair. Most of the time it is pulled back to stay out of his face during a firefight, with multiple braids hanging down the back and sides of his head. Before battle, he pulls it into a top knot in order to fit and seal inside of his Helm. He keeps thick red sideburns that show the smallest hint of grey trimmed low and close to his face, but his lips and chin are clean shaven to better display his canines. He has blue Fenrisian runes tattooed around his neck that resemble a choker when viewed from a distance. The tattoos meet at the back of his neck where the travel down his spine. He has similar "straps" of Fenrisian runes tattooed around his biceps, forearms, thighs and calves; they all link up and meet back at his spine. On rare occassions one might see a new tattoo being applied by a specific Servitor with limited knowledge of the Space Wolf Chapter Runes. When asked about their meaning, he usually tells the curious party to mind themselves lest they wish to swallow their teeth. Between the juxtaposition of his fire red hair, ice blue to the extreme of white pupils, large sharp canines, and feral tattoos Fulrik is intimidating to say the least.

Personality: For Fulrik, to be alive is to be in the midst of Battle, preferably on land and with the wind in his face, but he will settle simply for Battle if land is not available. Although Fulrik's wisdom is evident in how he speaks and the knowledge he can give - which has resulted in more than one Watch Captain asking his advice in tactical and strategic briefings - he is quick to anger and take offense, especially when his honor or that of his Chapter are called into question. Most of the time this anger is directed at his enemy, whom he prefers to engage at a distance in order to "soften them up" for the more eager, younger and much less bloodied members of his pack. However, he has been known to challenge any and all who would sully the name of anything he holds dear. He is very protective of the Brothers in his Deathwatch Kill Team that he is beginning to consider his pack. Not only does he display bravery and courage in combat in protecting and aiding his pack, any insults or slights made to them are considered as slights against him. To stand with Fulrik is to stand with a true Son of Russ - vicious, tempramental, unflinching and absolutely dangerous. To be considered a friend by him is a greater honor still, for it means fierce loyalty the likes of which cannot be matched by many other Astartes.

As a Long Fang and one of the select few within the Space Wolves entrusted with the Chapter's mighty heavy weapons, Fulrik normally takes to the field of battle with his Heavy Bolter Iron Maw. Whether he is setting up overlapping fields of fire holding a defensive strong point or wading through swamp and jungle in Scout Armor with 60-round box magazines, Iron Maw has never found itself in a situation it could not tear itself out of. Or at the very least, a situation where it could not safely even the odds. Lately, however, Fulrik has come to enjoy the pleasures of the Astartes Soundstrike pattern Missile Launcher. He has taken to one in particular. Dubbed Fyrie Wyrm after the legendary Fenrisian lava serpents, Fulrik has come to enjoy the calculated explosive devastation it brings to his foes.

Background: Fulrik has a long and proud history with the Sons of Russ. His gene-seed took hold very well and his elevation through the Blood Claws and then the Grey Hunters and finally the Long Fangs was a long and well fought road. Trained extensively in all manners of war, Fulrik found his true calling when his service record and battlefield wisdom allowed him use of the Great Companies hallowed heavy weapons. With Heavy Bolter and Missile Launcher, Fulrik bested his enemies at every turn. Excelling at setting up choke points, overlapping fields of fire, L-shaped Ambushes, and all out front assault through overwhelmind firepower, Fulrik's knowledge of assault and skill-at-arms with Heavy Weapons made him a natural leader within his pack. Those who looked up to him and studied under him learned much in the arts of war. Similarly, those who crossed him learned much in the ways of humility.

When Gunnar Redmoon's Great Company mobilized for the Achilus Crusade, Fulrik was one of the most eager to get into the fight. While the Achilus Crusade proved very successful initially, the Space Wolve's actions in it were even moreso. However, as time passed and the Crusade ground to a stalemate, order from Fenris sent the majority of Redmoon's Astartes back home to combat the Chaos threat on the other side of the galaxy. Thinking he could help make a difference in the Jericho Reach and eager to prove the Space Wolves might in the region, Fulrik was granted the blessing of his Chapter to take his Apocryphal Oath and serve a Vigil in the Deathwatch. Hoping to bring honor to himself, his Chapter, and the Deathwatch as well as make a difference in the Achilus Crusade, Fulrik has dedicated every waking moment to learning about and combatting the worst the region has to offer. Should he die in the line of duty, he knows his name will live on forever among one of the most elite fighting forces ever to exist in the Imperium of Man and the Galaxy at large.

Power Armor: Mk. VII "Aquila" variant
Helmet: Black Mk. VII variant with Ice Blue eye lenses. Fulrik meticulously paints and repaints Fangs onto the front rebreather section before and after battle and has become quite good at it. Before every battle his helm more and more resembles a fearsome wolf baring its teeth. He has heard stories of master artificers being able to create a Wolf shaped Astartes helmet variant, but has yet to see one.
Body: Formerly Space Wolf Grey, the black plate Fulrik carries into battle is one of the most common Astartes variants in the Imperium. Given to him on his ascension to full Astartes, it has served him well in a multitude of battle zones across the Galaxy. He often jokes that the armor has tasted "everything save for defeat." Often seen hanging on the front of this plate from around his neck is his Totem of the Sun Wolf which he has carried since his first hunt before he was an Astartes back on Fenris.
Arms: His left shoulder pauldron is in typical Deathwatch fashion - Silver electro-etched plating from gauntlet to couter to shoulder Pauldron. Fenrisian runes fill most of the surface, electro grafted to tell the tales of his valorious deeds. The Inquisitorial "I" sits in the center of an open snarling wolves mouth, also electro-grafted in silver. His right Shoulder Pauldron proudly displays the colors and heraldry of his home Chapter and pride and joy: The Space Wolves.
Legs: Black as the rest of his armor. He keeps a monstrous monomolecular edged combat blade in a sturdy leather sheath on his right thigh. The blade handle has been carved from the bones of some unnamed monstrous beast, no doubt slain by Fulrik himself. On his left thigh he keeps his no-frills Bolt Pistol, well used and well maintained. His left knee pad has the stylized snarling portrait of a Fenrisian Wolf Skull in front of a dark Red Moon - telling of his history as a Long Fang in Gunnar Redmoon's Great Company. His right knee pad is adorned with one Fenrisian rune that means "death," a tribute to his Vigil within the Deathwatch.

Background:

Macuilli Quiahuitl was training for the warrior priesthood of Jaguar Tribe before being seconded to the Deathwatch. He has the bearing and drive of a true adherent of the Tribe’s teachings ever on the lookout for omens, able to read them to derive some understanding of what is occurring within the Great Ocean. As a result, an outsider might perceive him as superstitious and irrational.

Out of armor he stands 7’2”, with deep red skin. His hair is unshorn, as befits is career path within his Chapter. Usually his face is painted black with a turquois band across his eyes. His ears are pierced with heavy plugs of jasper.

The Eagle Knights, despite how recently they aligned themselves with the Deathwatch, already have a robust tradition of circumventing Deathwatch dress-code, and MQ is not one to break tradition. His MkVI Corvus Armor is painted the standard Deathwatch colors, but it’s covered in painted resin designs: green jaguar spots and numerous glyphs indecipherable to those outside the Chapter. The silver wording of the left arm is replaced with silver glyphs, and the Inquisitorial “I” is overlaid with polished jasper. His right shoulder plate depicts the golden solar eagle glyph with an orange and yellow jaguar postfix and a red skeleton subfix on a field of black-dappled green. His MkVII Aquila pattern helmet is painted black with a red faceplate and jaguar teeth framing the grill. His jump pack is adorned with resin eagle feathers.

He earned the honour of being seconded to the Deathwatch after rallying his brother Eagle Knights from both Jaguar and Armadillo Tribe to hold off and counter-attack a massive Ork ambush on Pictotlan that resulted in the taskforce’s Bone Priest being incapacitated. His prayers brought the warriors back to their senses in the face of a behavior they had never before witnessed in Orks.

Deeds:
Crusader Reinforcement (Forbidden Knowledge: Tyranids)
Right Gear For The Job (Wargear: Power Sword)
Battle Damage (Gauntlets of Xirion)
No Quarter Given (+3 WS, Counter-Attack Talent)

Tactics:
Solo Mode
Foreknowledge Action: Half or Free Action Required Rank: 1
Effects: Blood Ravens covet knowledge and use it as a weapon in battle to predict and counter the actions of their foes. Although only Blood Ravens Librarians possess the true psychic talent to see into the future, every member of the Chapter benefits from the forbidden lore and secrets with which they have been gifted with. Once per combat, the Battle-Brother may expend a Half Action to negate a single foe’s Reaction for that Round. Alternatively, as a Free Action, the Battle-Brother may make a Challenging (+0) Opposed Intelligence Test against a single foe (or a Horde) to determine its next action before he acts himself. If successful, the Battle-Brother may choose to either gain +10 to all Tests made against the foe this Turn or gain +10 to any Dodge or Parry Tests made against attacks from the foe until the start of his next Turn.
Improvement: At Rank 3, the Battle-Brother increases the bonuses made on Tests against a target of Foreknowledge to +20 on all Tests for that Turn or +20 on any Dodge and Parry Tests made against attacks from the foe until the start of his next Turn. At Rank 7 the Battle-Brother can negate the Reaction of a single foe as a Free Action rather than a Half Action.

Squad Mode Attack Pattern
Psychic Conclave Action: Half Action Cost: 2 Sustained: Yes
Effects: Blood Ravens Librarians are skilled in using their abilities to predict the actions of their enemies and coordinate their Battle-Brothers to exploit any signs of weakness or any flaws in the defences of their foes. Blood Ravens learn to work closely with their Librarians as a result, and the actions of their Secret Masters will often influence doctrine and tactical decisions. The Librarians within the Battle- Brother’s squad may choose to confer psychic powers with
a range of “Self ” (see page 189 of the DEATHWATCH Core Rulebook) to those within Support Range. In all respects the Battle-Brother chosen by the Librarian becomes the recipient for the psychic power and benefits from all of its effects. The Librarian must choose at the start of each of his Turns to continue conferring the power on the Battle- Brother, shift it to another Battle-Brother or use it himself. In all other respects, the power remains the same and is activated and sustained as normal by the Librarian. More than one Librarian can benefit from the effects of the Psychic Conclave provided they are part of the same squad and in Support Range, and multiple powers can be conferred onto the same Battle-Brother.
Improvement: At Rank 4, activating the power becomes a Free Action. At Rank 7, psychic powers conferred on other Battle-Brothers do not count for that Round against the number of powers a Librarian is sustaining and thus do not reduce the Psy Rating of other powers.

Squad Mode Defence Pattern
Battle Knowledge Action: Free Action Cost: 1 Sustained: Yes
Effects: The Blood Ravens are masters of counter attack and counter defence, reacting with well-practised battle cunning to every action their opponents takes. When the Battle-Brother and those within Support Range of him use the Delay Action (see page 238 of the DEATHWATCH Core Rulebook) they can make a Full Action rather than a Half Action when they choose to act. Improvement: At Rank 4, if Battle-Brothers are forced to make a Challenging (+0) Opposed Agility Test to see if they go before an enemy also using the Delay Action, they gain a +30 bonus to their roll.

Chapter Trapping: Gristly Trophies

Renown: 0
XP: 0; 13,500
XP Expenditure: Autosanguine (500), Sanguinary Priest (500), Pilot [personal](100), Frenzy (400).

Background:
Hailing From Creatia, Greeth distinguished himself as a more level headed flesh tearer outside of battle. He was an adequade sanguinary priest, giving and taking of Sanguinious sacred vitae when it was needed. When the Vivicular incident arose his status as a member of the chapter was put into question. The Imperium demanded recompense. Gabriel Seth had no choice but to send him to the Deathwatch until further notice. The fact that he was not allowed a penance quest with his brothers in the eye of terror to atone for his "transgressions" was like an open wound; but sanguinary priests were needed for the chapter. Thier numbers were starting to dwindle. Sending Greeth on such a quest would most likley be a grave error for the chapter master, so he decided the Deathwatch was a more viable option. With his newly painted black Mk VIII "Errant" Armor he stands at average hight and build for an astartes. One interesting feature of note, when he does not wear a helmet he has over his head and face a bizarre cloth mask that has openings for his eyes and mouth, but not nose. Black with blood red trim it coveres the entirety of his head. Who knows what kind of horiffic scars he is hiding.
