Fulrik should probably be rolling some insanity for this encounter. What do you think?
Yeah for sure haha
Let me come up with a figure for you and then we will see.
I am just gonna go with a straight 1d10 for it. So roll away.
INSANE IN THE MEMBRAIN
Nah he is a veteran. He just couldn't really post anything since his character was in an induced comatose state. We will be finishing the mission very soon and then moving on to our next one.
Can Bertram just Avenger the room, cineamatic style?
Raven Guard Librarian
Just letting you know, Drum, Syl, and I have plans for that geneseed. There's a reason I wanted it extracted in the first place.
As long as you eat it.
Can Bertram just Avenger the room, cineamatic style?
I mean yeah you could. The Inquisition was going to investigate it, but hey I mean this Inquisitor has no problem with that. She will just write it off as something that happened while the battle trudged on.
Yes we are definitely going to eat it.
We got plans. Burn it all.
Testing, my IC got spam blocked.
This is for IC
Bertram nods at Greeth's words once the Salamander was on his feet again. "The Flesh Tearer is right, though the geneseed will need a psychic analyses if it is to be released. Assuming it is pure Raptor." Turning he walked back to the room, grabbing Sam's body on his way. Tossing it in he whispered an ancient oath of cleansing before tossing it in the room. Opening his hand he let loose a torrent of cleansing flame, burning the body to ash and setting objects around the alter aflame as a thin coat of frost spread from his feet. Closing his fist with a shudder he turned and walked back to Kal'vek. "Do not think you are the only one with a grudge, the Alpha Legion owes my chapter and all son's of Corax more then you can imagine." This was the first time Bertram's voice showed any real emotion, taking a hard edge audible even through the vox.
I don't think I saw a PM, but I'm here. I was following the whole time I was down, but there wasn't anything I could do IC until now.
I'm wondering when we're getting back to the ship. I figured we were done after the Alpha Legion encounter and the procurement of the book.
I am sure that is the plan - but as Mruozu knows all too well, the plans are rarely followed by the players. ;)
At the very least, Fulrik is going to want to check in with Steig to see how he is doing and get an update on the situation.
Yeah I can't make you guys do anything. All up to you on what you wish to do at the moment.
Oh and Bertram, you can post IC by yourself now. Once combat ends, I open the IC for everyone to post whenever they want.
There's always the chance that we can use whatever ships available to lend overwhelming fire support to the planet.
Ripley: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Hudson: Fuckin' A!
Bill Paxton is God.
We, the Deathwatch, are a surgical strike force. What we did to get in the city to get to the Inq was the equivalent was taking a bonesaw to the patient's back to get at a tumor in their belly button.
We've done as much damage to the Orks as could reasonably be expected of us. Now the fight is back in the hands of the PDF forces and any IG that will be arriving soon. We put the Orks on the back foot, but now it is the duty of the locals. It also helps that the Orks are likely to fight among themselves for dominance while they are being hunted down and exterminated.
I say we extract.
As a surgical strike force, yes we did as much damage to their numbers as we could have. But what we should have done was locate the leadership and cut the head off of the proverbial snake. Granted, that wasn't our mission. But since that wasn't done, there is no reason to suspect that any in-fighting will occur within the Ork ranks.
Fulrik will extract if that is the will of the team leader. But he will still let Steig know that that is happening, and he would like an ETA on incoming IG forces.
No. I meant Bill fucking Paxton. He was literally "God" in Navy Seals. And while he always has Michael Biehn's back - always - he always gives up his life for the greater good. Often this is yelling "get some" and depressing a trigger.
I miss Michael Biehn and I sure as shit miss Michael Biehn and Bill Paxton partnerships.
I know, for some reason when I tried a couple days ago I was spam blocked, so it wouldn't post. I threw it in here to show Bertram was doing something, and give people something to respond to.
Ah okay I gotcha. Thanks for the update in any case. Everyone has posted pretty sufficiently. We are just waiting on Mac to make a decision on what comes next. Extraction or extermination.
Dammit, you guys really want to kill some Orks, so who am I to stop you?
Besides, I think it's good for the party's spiritual healing to keep them occupied for a little while and vent.
I have missiles that need to fly.
Mark, was I able to get any Heavy Bolter ammo off of Sam? Did he have any 60-round mags of ammo on him at all?
I can check his character sheet, but to my knowledge it was a backpack feed with the two types of ammo in them.
That is what I figured. All right.
Sorry, finals are approaching, and I have a shit ton of writing to do. As of typing this it is 9:00 AM, and I had to work all night to finish a story.
Sorry for the delay, but I'm going crazy over here for at least the rest of the week.
It's all good Nik, I think it might be on me to post you guys walking back to Steig's position. Just wanted to make sure you guys are ready IC.
Yeah. Fulrik is worries that the defenders haven't been able to rally anymore in the time the Astartes had been away.
Which means the situation could be grim, or they just haven't had enough time. Looks like its time for the mother fucking badasses to get to working.
Also, if Greeth would be so kind to administer some first aid to the Son of Fenris, it would be much obliged. We can handle it here or IC - whatever you are feeling, Syl.
The healing rules are posted in my Deathwatch game on this forum under "Rules Understandings." It might be in this thread as well under the house rules, I cant remember.
But it is more complicated than that: You cannot heal the SAME damage that you treated earlier twice a mission, but I took NEW damage this fight. So whatever I took this fight can be healed (or attempted to be healed). I believe I took 12 damage this fight, reducing me to 5 HP. So right now up to 12 damage can be healed.
What in the fuck just happened?
Do you have a Narthecium? If so, on a success you should be automatically healing a number of HP equal to your INT B, THEN you get 1d5 for enhance healing.
but was that a success?
I don't think it was. But I also think it didn't fail enough to hurt terribly. Not sure. Enlighten us Syl =D
Alrighty boys. I will update as soon as I can today and if not then, sometime tomorrow. Came down with a sinus infection and spent all day going to different places to get it sorted out, otherwise an update would have come yesterday. Today is kind of busy and I am also quite lazy feeling today so we will see what happens. Sorry for the delay boys and I will get back on it.
Ok, so for some reason I think it's my computer and IC comments that aren't agreeing. Here is Bertram's IC post, if someone would be kind enough to copy/paste it. I'm even having to do word verification for OOC.
"The orks have much to answer for." Bertram said simply, tilting his head at Kal'vek's noise. "Though I will not risk the tome. Inquisitor, I insist you find the most secure location till we return." The chance to take revenge on the orks for those lost on Targus after frying the Alpha marines was fighting with his sense of duty. He didn't add the Inquisitor's current condition would make her more of a liability then asset to any combat operations. Listening to the Wolf and Tearer bicker he rubbed a hand across his sword's hilt, mouthing a litany of vengeance.
Yeah sorry the site is giving you trouble. It can do that from time to time. We can ask Fix what's going on with that at some point hopefully. I will write it into my IC update for you.
WHEW! I was trying to take a look and I thought I might have unpublished everything sylphilis posted. If that happens, I apologize in advance.
Here's the deal. Your posting fails the computer grammar checks. If you use a lot of text speak and/or fail to use complete sentences (which is common among computer generated spam) it has doubts about whether you're a real person, and so you get a CAPTCHA. I'm trying to see if I can confirm that you are a real person (and if you're not, you've fooled me). But so far, I don't see that.
It should get better as you get more posts, especially if they're all approved by your English teacher.
My OOC is fucking up for this thread. The last post it is letting me see is from 5/08
Anyone else having problems?
OK, disregard that last post. It is working fine now.
Ygnar, I can start proof reading all your posts... because I love you. But no as much as DDMW. Don't come between us (giggity), he gets cranky.
It looks like we're missing a few pages. This is certainly my fault. I apologize for it. I was trying to figure out why there were issues with some people being seen as Spammers, and in trying to look at details, I accidentally deleted stuff... Or when I installed missing updates.
Whatever I did wrong, I'm sure it was me. Sorry!
I hope we remember well enough where we were that we can keep going without missing a beat.
No worries I am sure it's all good. Thanks for trying to fix it!
So, I can only see the latest OOC posts when I post. Hence THIS post.
I just see pages missing is all. I can still see everything else fine.
Post so I can read the newest post.
Did it lose new posts?
Not for me, but I suppose Jeff is having problems with it still. =(
