This ritual spell allows a paladin to sacrifice his turning ability to give an ally an item of potent protection against the undead. Effectively, the caster transfers his turn undead ability to a mundane item, placing a ward that allows the ability to function without any need for a trigger. The item targeted by this spell gains the caster's remaining turn undead attempts for the day, which trigger automatically when undead are within 30ft. Treat this as a turn undead attempt, using the caster's level and Charisma bonus. This ability functions as a free action, which requires no effort on the part of the target item's possessor, but cannot be suppressed by the possessor.

The caster loses her ability to turn the undead until her next daily mediation (the next time she prepares spells). At this time, any unused turn undead attempts possessed by the target item vanish. The item will not function if possessed by the caster or if it is possessed by no one (for example, if someone leaves the item behind in a hallway in the hopes that it will keep the undead from following).
