I rolled 1d6, the result is 6 = 6.

Combat vs Tendril of Nyogtha. Fight 3 + Shriveling 6 + Wither 3 - 2 monster modifier = 10.

I rolled 10d6, the result is 2, 4, 2, 4, 5, 2, 4, 1, 4, 6 = 34.

With all of that, Jim just barely scrapes by.

We're in Mythos. Luckily, we got no gate and no new monsters (although several of the existing monster did get to move around). Also luckily, each of us gets to make a Luck (-1) check. On a failure, nothing happens, but on a success, your Investigator gains a blessing (seems like a really good spot for Daisy to use her new spell). Let's get that roll from everybody. @Aladdar @MinusInnocence @Obsidian_Spoon @Board Rider

With that cast I'll use it to move my luck to 3 and hope I get lucky.

Consider me blessed. I'll wait to hear back about my sanity basis to make certain I'm right about only having 1 before I choose what to do moving forward. My next plan had been to go turn in my monster cards to get blessed, but now I'll hold onto them for something else and probably start high tailing it to the hospital.

On Upkeep, Lola will discard her Stealth skill for a new one. On Movement, she'll drive to the Hospital, and in lieu of an Encounter she'll pay the fee for full healing. Now that the City of Arkham is picking up the tab, spare no expense, my dear boy! Squirt coffee up my butt! I don't care!

Alright, I've got it figured out now. Despite it assigning a unique link to each image, Imgur doesn't like it much when you upload multiple images with the same name and try to link to them. That, or I'm just dumb and linked to the wrong image. Anyhow, everyone should be displaying the correct character sheet now. Jim and Daisy got blessed and we move into Upkeep. BR and O_S mentioned no slider changes. Any other slider movement or Upkeep actions?

Ok, one step at a time.

#1, I'll cast Premonition (Which I assume is refreshed again) to move my lore back to max.

I rolled 2d6, the result is 4, 4 = 8.

Next I'll attempt to cast Voice of Ra.

This is true, but that decision takes place as part of the Upkeep Phase, so Kate's still got time to decide what to do about sliders.

Assuming so, I'm thinking we should go with
Citizens Urged to Lock Doors (And get Kate over to the graveyard now).
Early Frost (And hope to get Kate over to Independence Square next)
Then Superstitions Abound

Thoughts?

Yeah, the Mythos cards with the gate location listed in red are gate bursts, so a gate will appear there even if a seal is present (and will destroy the seal as they do so... annoying). I think Citizens Urged to Lock Doors is the obvious choice to go first in the stack, especially since Kate was already geared up to go there. Beyond that I see two primary concerns.

1: Putting Early Frost next in the stack puts a tight time constraint on Kate if we expect her to make it there in time to stop the gate from opening. Aside from that, I don't see any potential problems.

2: Superstitions Abound will cause a monster surge. There are worse things, but since Citizens Urged to Lock Doors is going to fill up the Outskirts, a monster surge might well cause the Terror Level to go up by 1. Also not the worst thing, but something to consider.

She's about 4 jumps away from both early frost's gate and superstitions abound gate if we send her to the graveyard now. What is your concern with getting to the next gates?

As for the monster surge, do you think it's better to change the order on those? I'm up for either one, I'm just not clear on which one is better.

Nothing specific. I just tend toward assuming the worst that could happen in Arkham will happen in Arkham, and getting delayed isn't difficult or uncommon.

I can't do much about Kate coming down with a bad case of the narcosleepies. But if she isn't delayed and instead just can't reach her destination for some other reason, I have the cop car and can just pick where I go instead of spending Movement points. So I can go where she needs to then she can use the Brain Case to swap places with me.

I would rather not do so if it means visiting a location with a monster or Gate present, since either of those can wreck my ride. But in the case of a monster already being where she wants to go, Kate could just swap places with it instead, right?

This is true. The one thing to keep an eye on is turn order. This turn Lola acts before Kate, so she could indeed just go wherever Kate needs to be and Kate could Mi-go Hot Swap with her, but on the next turn, Kate becomes first player, so her turn in the Movement Phase would occur first, meaning that plan won't work on that turn.

So this turn I want to move Kate to the Graveyard, 3 spaces away. It's next turn I need my Move slider moved up one and use 4 points to move to Independence Square.

Just a reminder that we're waiting for Daisy to solidify what her choice for Mythos arrangement is. After that, Lola will act first in Movement, heading to St. Mary's. Then Kate will head to Graveyard. If a Movement action for Carolyn has been given, I missed it.

Carolyn restored a point of Sanity during Upkeep, so the total showing on her sheet right now is correct. There's a Deep One between her and The Witch House. Is she gonna be fighting it or trying to sneak past? Either way, let's get the appropriate rolls (remembering that due to the environment, Sneak is at +1 and Fight is at -1).

We can use the first set and drop the last roll, no worries. But just as a teaching moment, your options now if we used the second set of rolls would be:

1: Spend Clue tokens to roll more dice until you either get the required successes or run out of Clue tokens

2: Fall unconscious (not dead) and go to St. Mary's Hospital, where you could then choose between receiving standard care and losing half your stuff or taking an Injury card.

But it looks like Carolyn comes out of this one unscathed. Will update again in a couple of hours when I get home from work.

Daisy health is fine, it's her mind that is starting to break down. So her plan is to move towards Arkham Asylum. I think I read earlier that the Deep One is now out of my way so move her to the Rivertown streets.

Alright, we're back in Upkeep. That pussy Mythos Phase worked out really well for us, in that Kate kept anything really bad from happening and both Elder Thing and Color Out of Space are currently being held in the Outskirts and are therefore not available to be drawn as random monster spawns (they're both goliaths). Jim closed a gate, which removed 2 monsters from the board, and he sealed it. If we manage to get one more seal on the board, we win and Nyogtha can suck it and Daisy and Jim can get married and have a hundred babies and I'll never die.

*ahem*

Anyway. Jim and Daisy need to roll to see if they lose their blessing during Upkeep. I'll take Upkeep actions and slider changes from everyone. @Obsidian_Spoon @Board Rider @Aladdar @MinusInnocence. I'd be happy to get Movement Phase actions from anyone that knows what they want to do. Jim's gonna try to head back toward Arkham. Dunwich is pretty much played out at this point, I think.

Does Jim keep his blessing?

No slider changes for Carolyn. She will focus on getting a point of Sanity back which puts her at 4, I believe. Current CS shows 5 but I think that doesn't reflect the damage taken by the Deep One.

Ultimately, Carolyn is moving to the gate one spot away.

Lola will keep her sliders where they are. She will drive to Gardner's Place and pick up the Clue there, then discard her Magnifying Glass to earn a second Clue. We'll take our chances with the encounter.

Carolyn passed her Horror check against the Deep One and didn't take Sanity damage.
