During the Great Imperial War, the government of Thur was on the brink of convincing Pichu Tah to join them.  Their combined might would very probably have tipped the balance of power against the Empire.  Fortunately for the Empire, the orcish slaves in Thur convinced the government of Pichu Tah not to ally themselves when they rose up and killed their oppressive masters.  For the rest of the war, the five newly-formed tribes of orcs fought alongside the Imperial legions, distinguishing themselves in battle time and time again until they earned the respect of their fellow soldiers.  After the war’s end, the Imperial Council offered the orcish tribes any gift they wanted for their service.  After much deliberation, the five tribes announced that they would like a land of their own.  The Imperial Council granted them all of the green land of Thur South of the Forest of Johm and invited them to join their new friends in the Empire.  The five tribes agreed and named their new land Bralda, the orc word for freedom.

Today, Bralda is the equal of any other nation.  As anyone might suspect, some of the greatest warriors come out of Bralda.  What many might not suspect is that many of the best artists, architects and philosophers come from Bralda as well.  While orcs and half-orcs make up the majority of the Braldan population, members of many other races have joined one of the five tribes and made Bralda their home.
